To give your students the best chance of completing an assignment, please:
Let us know before you give an assignment. Use our ASSIGNMENT ALERT form or send us a copy of your assignment sheet. The form can be found on our website under Library Guide/Services/ For Teachers. Prior notice will allow us to make more materials available to your students.
Check our sources before an assignment to verify the availability of information needed.
Request a CLOSED RESERVE when a large number of students need to use the same materials.
Give a choice of topics. If students don't have to complete for a limited number of choices, they have a better chance for success.
Accept only photocopies or original student artwork to discourage clipping of illustrations from library materials.
If materials are not available for an assignment, the library will issue the student a TEACHER NOTIFICATION FORM so that you know the student tried to find the requested information.
